But fear not incoming tourists, because South Africans have an ability to rise to every challenge. Establishments across Cape Town are already implementing some unique solutions, so that you can enjoy this wonderful city, without having to worry where the next bottle of water is coming from.

So here is a list of just 10 Cape Town Escapes where you don’t need to worry about water.

  1. Constantia Villa – Constantia

2. Riversong Guest House – Newlands

Rooms are elegantly stylish and spacious. All rooms have comfortable beds and pillows, Portable aircons, Satellite TV (DSTV), fridges and snack baskets, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave ovens, safe for valuables, desks/dressing tables, heaters and fans, electric blankets, hand held clothing steamers, fluffy white towels, heated towel rails, percale linen, his and her cotton bathrobes, hairdryers, clock-radios, hot water bottles, Charlotte Rhys toiletries, Pool towels and chocolates.

We have an alternate source of water from The Liesbeek river which our property borders. We have set up a holding tank, pump and purification system. We can turn on this water supply to our house should it be needed. We have stocked up with 5L, 1L and 500ml bottled drinking water for our guest rooms.

3. Jardin D’ebene – Tamboerskloof

Jardin D’ébène is an old Cape Dutch homestead that has been meticulously refurbished and decorated by the owners, in a refined contemporary African style. This Boutique Guesthouse is situated in the heart of the City Bowl, right below Table Mountain. The ideal starting point for an exploration of Cape Town.

Sea Cottage House is a comfortably and elegantly furnished, fully equipped, holiday home, just outside the quaint village of Noord Hoek. It offers stunning views over the Wet Lands and sea views from Noord Hoek to Kommetjie and its magnificent mountains. We have an entertainment room, pool table, indoor braai, etc., as well as offering a Jacuzzi, solar heated pool, full DSTV, wireless internet and fully equipped kitchen.

The house has its own water source (Borehole water), so we are not reliant on municipal water. Our water is filtered for use in the whole house.

6. The Nest – Table View

The Nest Guesthouse is a beautiful and spacious guest house located in the Flamingo Vlei area of Table View in Cape Town. The house is walking distance to the bird sanctuary, close to MyCiTi bus routes and a 5 min bus ride to the beachfront with an array of restaurants and bars and also close to shopping centres. There are 3 bedrooms available for guests and the owner also lives on the property. Fast uncapped, unshaped wifi is available throughout the property.

The Terrace is a quietly sophisticated B&B ideally located for leisure or business in the area of Upper Kenilworth, adjacent to Claremont, in Cape Town‘s Southern Suburbs. We are 1.5km from Cavendish Mall, 2km from Newlands Rugby and Cricket stadia, 5km from UCT, 13km from the City Bowl and the V&A Waterfront and 15-20km from numerous fabulous beaches

8. Manhattan Style Studio – CBD

This Manhattan style apartment has been freshly renovated. The balcony overlooks the tranquil Company’s Garden. It is located within walking distance of many of Cape Town‘s hip and trendy restaurants and coffee shops in Cape Town‘s city centre

9. Relax at Ridge – Durbanville

Luxurious home with all modern amenities available situated between Stellenbosch Winelands & Cape Town. Our home offers 3 bedrooms, full kitchen with adjoining TV room, separate lounge and dining area. All our rooms lead out to a magnificent deck overlooking a Japanese pool and a 8 acre garden.

Guests are limited to 50L per day per person in line with water restrictions in Cape Town. Borehole water supplied for sanitary systems such as toilets and washing. A 5L bottled water supplied for drinking and guests to top upon bottled water thereafter.

10. Blinkwater Villa – Camps Bay

The Blinkwater is a spacious, luxurious and modern upmarket villa located in Cape Town‘s trendiest suburb, situated a few minutes walk from the main beach of Camps Bay, restaurants and nightspots of the strip. This architect-designed house has amazing views of the bay, Lion’s Head and Table Mountain, nestled in the tranquil setting of a quiet greenbelt, the best of all worlds.   2. Blaauwheim Guest House, with a current 5* grading, in Somerset West also has water! Our lab reports state that our borehole water is 100% safe and tested within the range for all minerals, etc.
