Cape Town’s much-loved outdoor movie experience, The Galileo Open Air Cinema, is back this summer! Offering locals and visitors from near and far popular films screened under the stars at venues across Cape Town and the Winelands, The Galileo provides an excellent evening out for film buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The well-known event, which will run from 16 October 2019 to 25 April 2020, will showcase a series of blockbuster hits, from fun family favourites to heart-warming romcoms, upbeat comedies, adored musicals and more. Featuring venues like Kirstenbosch Gardens, V&A Waterfront, Meerendal Wine Estate, Steenberg Farm, Central Park and a selection of the most exquisite wine estates across the Winelands, The Galileo’s offering combines movie magic with an epic atmosphere and picturesque backdrops.

Running from Wednesday to Saturday and selected Sundays, The Galileo offers the perfect setting for a memorable evening with friends, a ridiculously romantic date, a fun birthday bash or a quality family outing. Doors open at 6pm on weekdays, 5pm on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays and the movie starts as soon as the sun sets. Arrive early, find your spot on the lawn and enjoy an evening of artisanal food and drinks, games, lively music and an overall great vibe.
